The Factum Foundation for Digital Technology in Preservation is a not-for-profit organisation based in Madrid.

What we did

Working closely together for months with the communications department, we analysed, studied and deconstructed the foundations previous website to build it back up with dynamic, filtrable and searchable content for academic purposes.

As with most academic websites, there were many interconnected pages, projects, technologies with resources and thousands of images. We categorised and organised the hundreds of pages and projects to restructure the new site map before creating basic wireframes for them to visualise this new organisation based on categories and sub-categories.

We later defined typographic styles to match their legacy logotype which was going to stay unchaged for it to be coherent but all the while adding elements of color and a monospaced font for contrast and a vintage academic feel.
